Do you calculate the pro-rata difference when a customer does an Up/down grade?

Yes, we calculate the pro-rata difference and update the change in your customers contract.

If the customer does an Up/downgrade we would:

  1. Calculate the difference in usage
  2. Calculate the amount of days from today to the end of the subscription period
  3. Calculate per day usage price
  4. Calculate price prorata
  5. Invoice / Credit Note Generation
    1. Generate an invoice for that usage difference with the prorated amount (if the new contract price is higher than the unused price, which was already paid)
    2. Generate a Credit Note for that usage difference with the prorated amount (if the new contract price is lower than the unused price, which was already paid). In this case the customer will have a remaining balance on his/her favor.
