Yes, customers can applied the coupon through the Checkout. To do so, you should have the review page activated in your plan checkout. The coupon field is included on this step of the checkout.
Step1: Go to Plans> Edit > Checkout (Tab)> Enable “Require Customers to review their plan before subscribing”
